I, too, have a Model 455 clock. I thought that I'd broken it but it was simply a problem with the plug (what a relief!). The clock, the light, and the rotating drum all work. I have no idea of its value (modest value, I'm sure) but throroughly enjoyed seeing all of the postings for this and other model clocks from United Clock Corp. I logged on to seek a place to have the clock repaired (when I thought that it needed it); I've not uncovered such a place. I suspect that the rubber drive belt will be the first to go - but that should be no trick to repair.

RE: "Christmas tree" lights as bulbs in the United Clock Corp animated clocks. On another site, I saw a warning AGAINST using Christmas tree light bulbs in these clocks. Such bulbs are too hot and may damage the clock. The site suggests using 7w nite-light bulbs

I have an 870 with ballerina that was my grandmother's. I, too, want repair. What I need is just a bit of information. I know mine was bought in the 50's. But I saw one on e-bay and it gave the time period beginning in 1970. I know that is not true of mine. What about yours?
Thanks.

Hello to whom it may concern,

I have had in my living room for some years now a clock made by United Clock Corp.
It is an model NO 75 and that is pretty much al can obtain from the clock.
I am trying to find out how old the clock is and is there a value to this clock?
Also is there anyone who could give it a tune up if there is such a thing in clocks.
Thank you in advance for your reply's

here is the response I got from the Antiques Road Show appraiser Sean Delaney..

Dear Matt,
I do not have any information on electric clocks. They are not of interest to me. They generally have very little value.

Thank you,

Sean Delaney
