Hello....I am also trying to find out some information on a clock that used to be my grandmothers. It is a covered wagon with 6 horses. The driver is holding a whip that moves up and down. There is a light in the covered wagon part. I know this came from United clock Co. and there is also so information about United Metal company too on the back. If any one knows where to find out value of the this antique with going on the road show...lol....it would much appreciated. My first memories of this was in the mid 60's.

I actually sent a note about my clock to an appraiser that was listed at the website for the Antiques Road Show (PBS) representing clocks...but he hasn't responded...

here is the response I got from the Antiques Road Show appraiser....

Dear Matt,
I do not have any information on electric clocks. They are not of interest to me. They generally have very little value.

Thank you,

Greetings, all!

I too, have an electric United Clock Corp. clock, model #455. Mine is done with decorative metal works, with a fireplace on the right-hand side. Mine doesn't work at the moment, but it has a Christmas light bulb in behind the fireplace, with a little metal drum that rotates, thereby giving the effect of a glowing fire.

Can anybody give me any info re: this beautiful piece, or send me to where I can find out more about it?

It has "pat. pending" on it, and is in a gold-bronze color.

Thank you!

Thomas
