I also have the lighthouse model 290. Does anyone have a site that gives some history on the model 290 and what the value could be. Thanks.

My husband's grandfather had a united clock model # 84. We recently purchased one exactly like it. We were wondering what it's value is. Does anyone have any info about it?

147. C.1950, United Electric Clock Corp, Brooklyn, New York, Model 990, 110v. animated clock of plastic and stamped brass, IN VERY GOOD ORIGINAL condition. Meant to appeal to our post war taste, this is a bit garish, but is still one of the best examples we've seen. The 4 dancers are intact, each pirouetting around as the lower carousel turns. With original cord, it runs fine. Was sent up here by a gentleman in Brooklyn. Height with cover 11" $150-250 I bought this at a auction and looked it up and found this... FYI Thanks, Vickie

I HAVE ONE OF THESE TOO WE WERE TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT YEAR IT WAS MADE MINE WORKS EVERYTHING WORKS ON IT IF YOU CAN LET ME KNOW I WOULD APPRECIATE IT.
I have a united clock corp. clock. It is a covered wagon, w/4 horses, 1 man with a whip that goes up and down when you turn the brake lever to on. It appears to be cast of copper on a wooden base. It is in perfect condition, the clock has never been worked on and keeps perfect time, all parts are in place, including the reigns to the horses. It is complete with the original light bulb. My mother and father bought this clock in Yellowstone National Park in 1955 or 1956 at the Grand lodge. I was told it cost around $20.00.

I am trying to determine the worth of this clock. Please help me.

Thanks,

I have an electric clock made by the United Electric Clock Corporation, New York.

It is metal and has two horses with riders on it and there is a Cupid in the center above the clock's face. The word ROMANCE is imprinted in the metal.

Can you tell me some history about this clock and estimate it's current value?

Thank you!

Did you find out any info on the clock? I have one just like it that belonged to my mother and am trying to find out the year these were made. Mine still works perfectly. Thanks for any info you can provide. Michael Moss

Hi Mike.
I have a model 701 as well. The clock motor is made by Westinghouse but I believe any similar clock motor would do. My approach would be to remove the motor and retrofit the mounting plate and worm gear onto another motor. I'd be willing to tackle the task if you have no luck with a watch/clock repair shop.

In looking at No.455 at one of the sites that clock looks exactly like my clock my parents had for many years. The clock I have is a clock on left side and a fire hearth on the right side. The fireplace looks like a fire is burning in it. The clock I own has all parts working but the model no. is #564, I cannot find out how old it is or anything about it except it was made by united clocks corp. Brooklyn, NY .I don't know why they have different model no.
Hi Bob. To confirm the manufacture date of your clock you might want to try what I did. The covered wagon mantle clock I have has a label on the back cover of the clock that indicates the model no. 550. I removed the 2 nuts holding the cover on. The date Feb 1965 was stamped on the inside of the cover.
