From $5 to $10??? Jeez, they must have realized a lot of people need a locker that badly that they decided to double their charges.

Fortunately, I found out the solution to my problem grinning smiley

Hi,

FYI: There is a luggage storage at JFK. It's located at the terminal 4 arrival level. They are rather expensive, but a convenient option if you're laying over at JFK (as I frequently do) and would like to spend a few hours in the city.

Hi there - Nice to see so many people helping!

I think I have more complicated task. Myself and my girlfriend arrive JFK 10.50pm Christmas Eve & leave from La Guardia for Central America at 9.30am Christmas Day. So we have about 6 hours in town to look at NYC, bars & walk around etc...

Where can we store our bags at this time of the night?

Additionally, does anybody have some good tips of what we can do from midnight to about 6am to see NYC (we dont want to rent a hotel)?

Many Thanks

Mike

Hi all,
just to update everyone; I just called J& S RentaLocker and their number is still discontinued and there is no website as of December 6, 2007. So I'd say the renovation is complete! I just hate it though because I'm bringing my parents to NYC for the first time in their 75yrs and really didn't want to drag luggage around! Well, actually it will hamper several ideas I had! I will try the Penn Station idea of buying a ticket to NJ possibly. I also called the Schwartz Travel number from their website and got a recording. I'm waiting to hear back from them. The number is not located in Manhattan but in Monsey,NY. But I'm hoping they can help. I'll post any good results I find.

I just called (12/7) and asked if they'd be open tomorrow:

Gretchen: Are you guys open tomorrow?
Place: Yes.
Gretchen: What are your hours?
Place: What time do you want to come?
Gretchen: 8?
Place: No. 10.
Gretchen: OK… And what time do you close?
Place: What time do you need your things?
Gretchen: 7.
Place: No. 6.

Hello,

If luggage storage in NYC is still an issue then go to Penn Station. By a ticket to Newark or Jamaica, Queens on the LIRR for about $5 and you are set for the day. I don't think that they will accept bags overnight. And if you need to travel to JFK, use your ticket to Jamaica, Queens to transfer to the monorail to JFK. Its way cheaper than taxi/limo and twice as fast.

i went to Schwartz Travel on 36th st and they stored my luggage for like the whole day. great service. (i noticed that their main business is luggage forwarding to NYC, meaning that people could pre ship their luggage to the city and pick them up as they arrive, another great thing).
