Question;
In your opinions, or form experience, say you saw SJP walking down the street, do you think she would care if you asked to get in a picture with her?

Personally I think it would be very uncool,it's an invasion of her private time. When I was living in New York I saw a few famous people but would never have asked them for a photo, the same here in Sydney, there are quite a few celebrities living in the area I live in here, Heath Ledger being one that you would have heard of and some years ago Mel Gibson lived in my street but when they are here they are just trying to have a normal life and the same goes for SJP in her neighbourhood.

I recently saw SJP slip into Daffys, The place where $$$$ shop, it's a major discount storesmiling smiley I recogonized her on the street and followed her into Daffys and introduced myself. I told her she was the 'best' She said, 'Not really, your the best'I said no, 'YOUR the best...' She laughed. I laughed. Point being,most celebrities approached properly with humor and goodwill are happy to be recognized for their work. Who would'nt be happy to be 'recognized' for work well done? I'd say yes, she would take a photo and even sign it!

I am with Marea. A perfect day for most celebs would be "being relaxed shopping or eating out without ANYONE recognizing them". They all say it, and I know they mean it.

I think saying hello could be acceptable but photos are a but invasive. Although I would have loved a photo of you standing next to that tiny little thing KM, that would be the short and tall of it.

I ran into Raymond Burr, Tracy Nelson, & Tom Bosely several times when they used to film here (in Denver) and I would always smile and say hi, but not as in "hi, I want to have a conversation", but hi like I say to anyone who's eye I catch. Though my hi said I know who you are, my demeanor said " I am not going to intrude on your day".

The building they use for the exterior shot in Friends is on the corner of Grove and Bedford in Greenwich Village

I was lucky enough to see Sarah Jessica Parker too when I was in New York. I was in line for the Magnolia Bakery[!] and she was just walking down the street with her little boy. No one was hounding her or anything and so I left well alone. I saw her again on the swings in the little park at the end of Bleeker. I so wanted to go and say hi but I didn't sad smiley

P.S my brother has just moved to Perry Street and said from his window he can see the tour bus unload fans onto Carrie's stoop!!

I can't imagine a tour bus stopping in front of my house every day (how often per day?!) to take photos on my front steps, and we don't even use the front of the house, we come in from the back. I read on an earlier post they get $60,000 per day shooting. I wonder what the tour company pays them for a Stoop Stop?
