If you google map 72nd and 3rd, it is just a 4-way street with shops ect.. doesn't look anything like where her stoop is, yet if you google map 66 Perry Street, it is identical. Plus, if you go there, you will see a no trespassing sign at the bottom of the stoop.

It's kind of pathetic that the owner of the house took all of that money from the show and now angrily posts "NO TRESPASSING" signs and requests that the SATC tour bus no longer stop there, but I guess that's greed for you.

Then again, why anybody would want to visit and take pictures of this spot -- which was not even in the same neighborhood as that depicted as Carrie Bradshaw's residence on the show, and which was not used for any interior shots, and which was actually only one of two locations used for the exterior shots... well, that's kind of pathetic too.

Hi, I'm taking a trip with my cousin to NYC and we both love SATC. In the first movie Carrie and Miranda eat lunch in a gazebo in central park, could you please tell me where that is located and if anyone can go there for a meal or to just hang out? Thanks

66 Perry Street is the stoop adress.I was luckey enough to find it on a visit to NEW YORK.There is a chain across the steps so you cant have a photo taken on the stoop(dont even try as a very angry man comes running out as we witnessed)But if your quiet and respectful ,take a photo and leave its fine,in fact there is a charity box you can donate a few dollers to after taking your photos at the bottom of the steps,we thought a splendid idea.

Went there 2 days ago. It is on 66 Perry St. It has a "no trespassing" sign in front of it and a little box ofr donation (for a shelter).

I highly recommend having a Martini at the Russian Samovar (Midtown West). The Russian atmosphere is really interesting and more importantly- the vodka is stored in huge glass containers with fresh fruit veggies, etc. soaking in them. So many different flavors- and no "fake" fruit flavoring.

Another plus+ it's partially owned by Mikhail Baryshnikov (played Carrie's love interest in final season) and it was featured in an earlier episode.

Depending on where in Chelsea you are walking is about 25 minutes or the trains A,C,or E or B,D,F to West 4th or 1,2 or 3 trains to Christopher St...short walk over to Perry
