We bought this candy in the 50s at Thelma's on the corner of Chestnut and Boyd (later Harry's) in Kearny, NJ. I am glad to hear that someone else remembers! I doubt very much if it is around anymore. I think the spoon was stuck to the container in some way. I don't think the candy tasted very good, but it sure was a unique way to market it. Imagine buying something that's unwrapped nowadays??!

I have been looking for that little pie with the little gold spoon for years. I grandfather had a candy store in Mass. and we always had it there, but my daughter and I can't find it anywhere and believe we have looked everywhere.

I had been trying to find information on this old candy. I grew up in Philly in the 50's and remember buying this candy.
I am sure this would banned in todays world for safety reasons, but I was always curious about them and would love to see a picture of this candy so I can show people what I am talking about, because they have no idea what they were.

I remember buying that candy in the 50s in the Buffalo, NY area. I do remember an orange color. The candy was like one of those orange circus peanuts but slightly denser.
