Also try the shark bar, Lola's and Malik Yoba's place (forget the name but is is pricing) Sylvias in Harlem is good to their bread puddin and banna pudding is good. I leave in Delaware but I am from Philly and used to frequent NY....I logged on looking for info about casting calls in New York for my 11 month old daughter.

We just decided to pay an agent.

Lola's is on 22nd between 5th-6th, so you can take the F train to 23rd Street (at 6th Ave.) or the N or R to 23rd Street (at Broadway).

Shark Bar is on Amsterdam between 74th-75th, so you can take the 1, 2, 3, 9 to 72nd Street (at Broadway).

If you just wanna go to Justins (i work right by it, it is on either 22nd or 21st between 5th and 6th) just to go to Justins say you've been there, then go. otherwise, the food is overpriced and not very good. however, there are alotta great restaurants in that area (including Lola's, as I saw in a message posted). For Soul Food, there is only one place to go and that is SYLVIA'S!!!!!!!!

ITS THE HOME ON NY SOUL FOOD!

If you're around 125th Street, bring a big appetite and a small pile of cash and eat at Manna's Restaurant, 2331 Frederick Douglass Blvd. (8th Ave.), between 125th & 126th Sts.

It's like a salad bar of soul food, and the food is wonderful if you're looking for a big pig-out. A friend who worked at the Apollo recommended it. I usually won't go someplace if I've gotta use plastic utensils (so, I'm prissy!), but I make an exception here. Besides, the ribs just fall off the bones, so who needs good utensils?

Sylvia's is very touristy, but the food's pretty good. They're at Lenox Ave. between 126th-127th.
