Just watching a programme in the UK at the moment about New York real estate. The programme might go by a different name in the states, however it involves realtors called ryan , fredrik and luis.
Very humorous, but it does give a good insite to property values in Manhattan. Its hard to believe a decent apartment around central park can cost 10 million dollars.
Would love to go back to that city as it is a very friendly place with helpful people. My first night in NY, staying in the new york new yorker hotel and having a quiet drink with my wife in the hotel bar i get hit upon by a hooker (quite nice as well) while i am sat next to my wife.????. how often does that happen.
great city....love it and the people.

Glad that you enjoy our city!
The program that you're referring to is called Millionaire Listing which airs on Bravo here in the U.S. In actuality, $10 million dollars for an apartment near Central Park is considered on the low end. As of September, the most expensive apartment near the park is worth $130 million. By 2018, several high rises that are currently under development will open sending prices higher and forever changing the skyline above 42nd Street.
As for the hooker (or "escort" as we call them here), you will find them in hotel bars as they were all pushed out of Times Square when it became Disney 2.0! I guess you had an interesting to story to tell your friends when you went home!
